10 Things you need to Declutter from Your Home Right Now

Ready to start off the new year with a bang?!

Have you been wanting to work on decluttering your home but haven't been able to get motivated or found the time?

Well today is the day we can change that! I've created a checklist of just 10 things that you need to declutter from your home. It will help take your home from messy to an organization dream. To make it even easier for you and help keep you on track, I've created a FREE printable so that you can cross items off your list as you complete them. Because everyone loves checking items off your to-do list, am I right?!

10 Things To Declutter From your Home - House by the Preserve

Getting your home uncluttered and organized can be a daunting task. There are so many areas, closets, and rooms in a home that can easily become over taken with "stuff" if you aren't careful. I believe that getting to these areas on a yearly basis is the key to maintaining your home in the clutter free zone.

You don't even have to wait to start in January, you can start now and begin crossing items off the list. The choice is yours, but the plan will only work if you stay committed. Once you start the challenge, you can't stop until it's complete. This doesn't mean that you have to do something every day if your schedule doesn't allow it. As a mother of a toddler and 9 months pregnant with our second child, I know that life can be unpredictable.

The key to this plan is to do what you can, when you can. I strive to do something every day, but if I'm unable to, then I just pick it back up the following day. By having my decluttering plan printed out and hanging right by fridge, it serves as a constant reminder of what I need to do and it also serves as encouragement as I get to cross off each box as I complete a space.

You ready? Let's do this!

Ever since I was a little girl I have been fascinated with interior decorating and using my hands to create beautiful things to incorporate in my space.

I believe that making your house a home shouldn’t be a difficult or expensive but exciting and most of all fun! It isn’t about the size or location of your home but about being able to create a space that is yours to fit your budget without sacrificing style.

Having recently purchased our first home, we’ve been busy creating a space that is ours as we blend my and my husband’s styles together. Explore the site to see what we have accomplished!
