Master Bedroom Spring Makeover

As spring now is in full swing, I have been happily sprinkling spring all over the house. One of the rooms that has recently gotten a makeover is the master bedroom.  Although we loved all the blues and green colors it previously had, I wanted to do something a little different and lighten things up a bit.  In case you missed the master bedroom reveal, make sure you check it out here!

The first thing that I wanted to do in this space was change the curtains.  Since the walls are a darker shade of gray - Anonymous by Behr Marquee from Home Depot, I wanted to get lighter ones for spring to help brighten the room up a bit.  I found a set og beige curtains at Tuesday Morning and immediately felt that they would look perfect in our space.  They have a lovely pattern and texture which bring a little classic elegance to the room.

We then switched some of the artwork to make it work with the new curtains.  We placed this lovely cherry blossom painting that previously hung above the bed in between the two windows.  I love how the mustard chairs bring out the gold tones in the painting.  With the cream curtains at either side, the colors in the painting just pop!

I then chose to carry the cream color by switching out the silver mirrors above our nightstands with the cream colored mirrors we had in our master bathroom. I am loving how these mirrors help tie the cream color throughout the room! The room just flows together nicely. We also decided to update the knobs on the nightstands to these glass ones I found on Amazon.  Such a simple update had a big impact!

While I was at Tuesday Morning picking up the curtains, I also found some accessories to help style our nightstands.  This is something that I really had not done before because the master bedroom tends to be the last room in the house that has gotten some love so it was nice to finally take the time to spruce them up.  I made sure to pick up similar items to help bring together both nightstands, like choosing the same color but different pattern picture frames. I made sure to style the nightstands using the same tips and tricks I use to style shelves.  If you missed it, check it out here!

I decided to keep the bed super simple and neutral, only adding color with the throw pillows. I love using these yellow throw pillows because it helps tie in the yellow from the chairs and the cherry blossom painting.

Above the bed, we DIY'd some bottles with copper pipe fittings to help secure them to the wall. I purchased some faux flowers from Michaels and used my typically tricks to make them look real. They bring the perfect amount of spring to our room. I just love how the colors from the flowers lay nicely against the gray wall.

And of course I couldn't finish out a room without fresh flowers and tulips are my favorite to use for spring.  They are absolutely beautiful just by themselves.

That completes our masted bedroom spring makeover! I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Leave me a comment below and let me know what's your favorite part of this space?
